Danish Business Forum

Since early 2014, Danish business people working in Tanzania have gathered for informal discussions on a quarterly basis. The objective of the Danish Business Forum is to network, connect and share experiences and information. Danes with different backgrounds gather either at the ambassador’s residence or at the premises of the different companies for an informal talk, drinks and snacks.

The Danish Business Forum has representatives from private sector as well as Danes working in Tanzanian firms and cover sectors such as tourism, IT, agriculture, energy and logistics. Whether the stay is for a short or a long time – all have one thing in common: “Danish Business Ethics and Values.”

Newly arriving business people often ask if there is a platform for Danes in the same situation as them; hence, we encourage joining this group. To be a part of the Danish Business Forum you need to work for a Danish company working for or in the private sector in Tanzania, or to be a Dane working for a Tanzanian company. There is no membership fee and it is not compulsory to attend each gathering. To receive invitations and be a part of the group, kindly write to: jumzav@um.dk.

At the EU level, there is an EU Business Group in Tanzania comprising 150 members. The EUBG provides a platform for networking for its members to gain knowledge of the business environment. For more information about EUBG, please visit http://www.eubgtz.com/.
